Parish Priest - Rev. Chris Whelan (Father Chris)

Fr. Chris Whelan came to Aldershot in September 2012.

He was ordained priest on 13th February 2000 for the Diocese of Portsmouth. He served as a Deacon and then Assistant Priest in Fareham and Portchester, near Portsmouth, where he was ordained priest and spent the first five years of his priestly ministry. He then moved to Woodley, near Reading, where he spent seven years as Parish Priest.

When Fr Chris first came to Aldershot, he wrote this:

I have trust and confidence that God will bless us with a lively and life-giving sacramental worship, activities that will help to build up this community and invite newcomers in with a welcoming embrace, a growing sense of God's grace and abundance, and a solid sense of moving forward together into the future.

Parish Deacon - Rev. Antonio D'Mello (Deacon Tony)

Deacon Tony has been a member of Aldershot Parish for many years. He was ordained deacon on 4th July 2004 for the Diocese of Portsmouth. He has stayed in Aldershot since his ordination and has served all his ministry in our parish. His son, Ansel, is currently in formation for the priesthood as a Seminarian at Wonersh as was recently ordained as a Deacon.


Deacon Tony D'Mello

Parish Deacon - Rev. Craig Aburn (Deacon Craig)

Deacon Craig has been a member of Aldershot Parish since 2009. He began Formation for the Diaconate in 2011 and was ordained deacon on 2nd July 2016 for the Diocese of Portsmouth. His ministry is split between the Parish and working for the Diocese as Executive Assistant to the Bishop.
